Your Discount Seiko Watch
Seiko has a rich history of watches dating back to 1881 and has been the first among many technologies in the
watch industry. They pioneered the way for quartz watches, digital quartz watches, TV watches, computer watches,
kinetic watches, diving watches, perpetual calendars, thermic watches driven by body heat, spring driven watches, 3
band radio wave driven watches, watches with electrophoresis displays, and even a watch specifically for a space
walk. Their ingenuity, innovation, and reputation has put them on the world stage and has been recognized in many
Olympics and other sporting events as well as winning several world recognized awards.
Seiko has much to choose from. You can either start from their four basic technologies: Spring drive, Kinetic,
Mechanical, and Quartz or from their 6 different product lines: Ananta, Sportura, Velatura, Arctura, Premier.
The word Ananta is a Sanskrit word meaning “infinite”. This watch is their most technologically advanced
creation.
Sportura is a collection of watches for the sports enthusiasts, specifically auto sports where timing is
everything. These sleek styling watches will keep up with your faced paced lifestyle.
Whether you are on board or overboard, the Velatura collection will keep you a float. Actually these are more
for sailors then divers. My only disappointment is that theses are water resistant and not waterproof but the
styles are fluid.
The Arctura collection is a natural for most wearers of this design since it was inspired by the curves seen in
nature. It isn’t surprising that most of this collection allows for the natural movement of your body to power this
type of watch.
When the adventure is over and the night life begins, turn to Seiko’s dress watch. The Premier collection is for
your night out on the town.
The spring driven Spacewalk watch is my favorite. It can even handle the elements of space from extreme colds to
extreme heat. The completely air tight case is capable of direct exposure to space. Over sized buttons for use with
gloves, this is comforting to those earthlings that are in the colder climates. This watch is waterproof to 100
meters, well beyond my recreational diving limits. Plus it has a luminescence that is brighter than your typical
luminescent watch. This should be helpful in space and under water. The downside of this watch is that only 100
were made. You’ll have to search the online auctions for this beauty until the commemorative edition comes out next
year. Expected price tag for this edition is a heavenly US$28,000
Whether your head is in the clouds or simply down to earth, you can count of Seiko to lead the way and give you
a quality timepiece that you could pass down to the next generation.
