There are five basic collections; The Covert and Memoir collections for men and the Futura, Videodrome, and Winter Wonderland collections for women. This being said, many of there lines overlap so disregard the basic collections; plus there are many more watches that are not part of a specific collection.

The Rotolog line in the Memoir collection is totally cool with several choices of inlays for the wristband. Believe it or not, some inlays may be wood or enamel. It can be used in the dark but be careful during wearing this to the beach as it states it can handle some rain or splashes.

The 51-30 is the watch you want for the beach. Rated at 300 meters, it not only can handle the water but allows you to function underwater with it’s super sized 51mm face. But wait, there’s more…this watch has your back by telling you if it is low or high tide. This is something any water sportsman needs to know. As a diver, I like the countdown timer feature for reminding me of how long I have been underwater or for use during decompressions. If you are serious about surfing then you should check out the Lodown TI. It comes pre-programmed with tide charts for 200 beaches for the next 15 years and wave counter among other features.

Nixon has many watches to choose from but their website makes it very easy to find the right watch for you. The watch selector will ask you the gender, display (analog/digital), band material, and face color. This should help narrow down your selection. My results came out be 20 items to choose from.
